Luckily I was busy on Saturday, it turns out the weather didn’t play nice. Sunday however, the Sun was shining, well most of the time.
Although Kop Hill Climb isn’t a timed event, there is no shortage of impressive cars and bikes from all eras. Practically all of them give it the full beans up the hill.
Amongst motoring celebs, you couldn’t mistake Paddy Hopkirk, he was sitting in the Works Mini that he won the 1964 Monte Carlo in, 33EJB. This car is actually a faithful replica of the original, that mostly lives at Gaydon.
There was a vast array of motorcycle history on display and some making committed efforts up the hill. A new one on me was the Noton / Vincent mashup the Norvin.
