What better way to spend New Year’s Day! Brooklands Meet-up is massive and attracts all sorts of classics from far and wide. It’s super busy but the mood is relaxed and friendly. Cars and bikes are lined up along the old track, in between the planes and workshops, every possible space jammed with classics.
It’s really nice to take a break, sitting high up on the banked circuit and watching the comings and goings. It’s amazingly steep towards the top, it must have been more than a little lively, back in the day, when the early, gigantic racers were blasting around the bank with a mix of, lots of horsepower, lots of weight mixed and with power brakes and handling. Hats off to those guys.
