Celebrating it’s 10th Aniversary, Tewin’s Classic Car Show, set on the village green, is as popular as ever. The car park is practically it’s own show, drawing clubs from surrounding areas and North London, the show, not the car park.
For a small village in Hertfordshire, Tewin really attracts some stunning cars and bikes. From big ticket concours cars: Immaculate Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, various Ferraris pre and post-Fiat, Astons old and new, Hot Rods and American cars, there were at least 3 Charger R/Ts amongst the 60’s monsters, all manner of Austin 1100 derived machines.
The car of the show for me was a pristine Radford Mini Cooper S. The Radford coachbuilders did an amazing job garnishing the Cooper with various luxury components from Bentley/Rolls, Aston Martin and Jaguars. Not one of these items looked out of place. At first glance the Radford comes across as a really nice duo-tone Cooper, then you start not notice the Jag rear-view mirror, the Rolls side-lights on the door pillars, the large leather seats, with arm rests.
